Indoor and outdoor Christmas decorations can also add elegance and holiday cheer to your home. From outdoor lights and simple lawn decorations to indoor small decor pieces, you can easily update your Christmas decorations with a few new pieces. Choose places in your home to add a holiday splash, like bookshelves, coffee tables, dressers, end tables and shelves. Small decorations to adorn these places include holiday candles, nutcracker statues, holiday figurines, nativity sets and garlands. You can also get some great holiday throw pillows for a couch or chairs.
Look at the candles and holders once they are on the tree - Make sure you have positioned the candles so they are 100% clear of anything that could catch fire. This includes another limb, other candles, garlands, tinsel or nearby Christmas ornaments. Pay special attention to higher branches. Are they hanging over the candle in such a way that they could catch fire when the candle is lit? If so, you must move the candle.
Thats not to say, of course, that all homemade candy is easy to make. Some candies are quite complex for the beginner, especially those involving a syrup. A syrup is water and sugar that is simmered to a particular temperature. The temperature you need varies with the outcome you want to produce, and sometimes its easy to get it wrong. And that could ruin the candy.
